Autumn Season at Zarzuela Horse Racing Track

The countdown has begun. Sunday September 18, 2011 the Hippodrome of  Zarzuela in Madrid opens the autumn racing season with prestigious awards in which the  best national and international jockeys will take part.

The autumn season will consist of a total of nine days of racing, every Sunday during September, October and November with major cash prizes.

The racecourse is located in Monte de El Pardo, and you can access it by car: on the A-6, the main motorway from La Coruña and take the exit at kilometer 8 to Avenida Padre Huidobro .

For those who prefer to leave the car at home there are free buses that leave directly from the centre of Madrid. These buses depart every Sunday from 10am to 3pm, Paseo Moret next to the Plaza de la Moncloa.

The price of general admission to the exhibition is 9 Euros and it includes parking. The price for young people and for senior citizens is 5 Euros.

The big event will fall on 16 October with the running of the Grand Duke of Toledo Memorial Prize worth 46,500 Euros.
