“La medida del tiempo” Exhibition at the Royal Palace

The Royal Palace in Madrid inaugurates today, 25th October 2011, an attractive and interesting exhibition called The Measure of Time (La Medida del Tiempo), that will stay open to the public until 15th of January 2012.

The exhibition, that encompasses more than 50 clocks that belonged to the Kings and Queens of the Spanish court of the 18th century, can be visited from Monday to Sunday from 10am till 6pm. The Palace will stay closed only on 9th November, 24th, 25th and 31st of December and 1st and 6th of January 2012.

The ticket price is 4 Euros, with reductions for students and senior citizens who will pay only 2 Euros.

The exhibit is organized chronologically, following the king who bought the clocks: Phillip V, Ferdinand VI, Charles III and Charles IV, who was nicknamed the clockmaker king.
